What am I going to do ? : I am going to create a word art using tagxedo. The word art will be about trees.

How will I do it: I will go to the website tagxedo.com and create a tagxedo art on the computer with words I have researched related to trees. I will add the words to the programme and then manipulate them to become art.  Then I will put it on the blog.

How did I go: I think it looks really cool and it was super fun to make. It would look great on a canvas or frame. 

Service in school and community

what am I going to do: I am going to fold Miss Petes milk cartons and look after her class at morning tea and lunch until the end of term 1. 

how will I do it: I will go every lunch and morning tea and make sure her student's eat their food and help with opening things. I will also go in every lunch and fold Miss Petes milk cartons and put them in the milk bin.

How did I go : I think I did well there were a lot of packets that had to be opened and a lot of milk cartons that had to be folded.

Service in school and community

Activity: help Miss Leung at lunch\morning tea. I will help with Jayda and Charlotte. 

How will I do it: I will go into Miss Leung's room every lunch time and help her with the minibeasts wall display by making the behive,cutting out the bugs,helping make 3d bees and helping put it on the wall 

How did I go: I think I did very well. It took many lunch times to complete the task Miss Leung asked us to complete.                                          

Physical activity and the outdoors

Catgory: Physical activity and the outdoors 

Activity: walk for one hour with a family member or a friend. 

How will I do it: I will walk around the river for one hour with my sister mum dad and dog. 

How didi I go: I did well we were all very tired by the end of it.

How will I do it: pick an area in the art room with Miss Leung and clean it after school and during lunch time.

How did I go: I think we did a fabulous job and it looks fantastic

How will I do it: prepare and make two desserts and make a menu for each.

When will I do it: 14/1/14 - 20/ 1/14 

How did I go? : both were very tasty and I had great comments about both of the desserts.

Physical activity and the outdoors

Activity: Swim 50m non stop 

How will I do it: I will go to the local pool (Rolleston pool) and swim 50m non stop which is 2 lengths of the 25m pool.

When will I do it: 21/1/14

How did I go ? : I did the two lengths relatively fast so I decided to do a few more.

Welcome

This year I am a year 8 at Sacred Heart School in Addington, Christchurch. This year is my finial year at this school before high school. This year I will be completing my kea challenge badge. I will be publishing my progress regularly. I have to complete a minimum of 8 challenges that will be completed to a high standard. I have to complete at least one challenge from each category. The categories are: giving, service in school and community, physical activity and the outdoors, academic excellence and excellence in the arts. I hope you enjoy following my progress and feel free to leave comments.
